I'm Kathryn, otherwise known as Red.

Throughout the past 20 years, I have set myself different running challenges. I started off doing 5km road races, moved onto 10kms, half marathons and then after running everyday for a year, I decided I was my fittest ever and did my first marathon in Dublin (2016)... this was only the beginning of my fitness journey.

Since then, my passion for running has moved onto the trails and the challenge of endurance races and ultras. I've taken part in races in the Peak District where I've placed 3rd and have covered distances up to 100 miles. This has been achieved due to my balance of strength training alongside running.
In 2023 I took part in my biggest race yet; the Centurion South Downs Way 100 miler. It was the hottest weekend of the year (10/06/23), and whilst people were dropping like flies around me, I slowed down my pace, loved every minute of it and finished strong. Only 192/335 people finished that year, biggest drop out rate ever in Centurions history.

Over the last year, I have started splitting my time between the Peak District and the Swiss Alps. This is providing the perfect playground for me to train and plan my next adventure.
I’ve always had a love for sport and exercise, which is why I trained to be a Personal Trainer Specialist so I could help other people achieve their goals. Alongside this, I am also a UKA Running Coach and Diabetes / Obesity specialist. I currently work from The Gym (Chesterfield), coach track sessions and help guide group runs within the Peak District.
I work with all kinds of people, whether your goal is to lose weight, run your first 5km, tone up, build muscle or train for a big sporting event.
My specialities are; run coaching, endurance events, strength training, weight loss through exercise and injury prevention.
